Organix dog food: reviews and composition overview

Organix for dogs

Many people mistakenly call Organix food a Dutch brand, this is not true, the food is only produced in Holland, and the brand itself belongs to our Russian brand.
By the way, only dry food is produced in Holland; canned food is produced in the Moscow region. Canned food is of above average quality, but dry food is clearly average with a small assortment. The composition of the food is also not very extensive; on the one hand, it is good that the food does not contain a large amount of exotic vegetables and fruits that can cause allergies. But the manufacturer also took pity on the meat; in Russian the percentage of meat ingredients is not indicated, but in the English version we see that it is only 20% plus a small amount of fishmeal and chicken fat. This is very little to fully provide the dog’s body with animal proteins. The advantages of the food are several useful additives - chondroprotectors for joints, lycithin - for cellular metabolism and L-carnitine, which is responsible for the metabolism of fats and the heart. In general, if you are looking for a budget food option for your dog, then you may well want to take a closer look at these diets. I chose this food for daily feeding of two dogs because of its composition and affordable price. It contains only natural ingredients, there is nothing synthetic or hazardous to health. Among the ingredients is L-carnitine, which helps maintain weight in older, inactive animals. For some reason, the composition is not fully disclosed on all types of food. In addition to the usual dry food and classic canned food, the brand produces complementary food for puppies in the form of chicken or duck fillet and biscuit cookies, which I often buy as a treat. Organix does not have the widest range, there are no specialized preventive or therapeutic foods, but daily nutrition is designed for all types of dogs. My pets eat the food with gusto and have no health problems.

Organix is available both in the form of dry food and canned food, this allows you to combine them with each other and not have to resort to other brands. Canned foods have a wider range than dried ones; they are based on different types of meat (beef, veal, lamb, chicken, quail and very high-quality offal). The tins come with a convenient key for easy opening and it has never broken off. Production is established in Holland, the food is 100% natural, among the ingredients there is nothing low-nutritive or unnatural to the biological needs of dogs (soy, corn, wheat, artificial flavors and taste enhancers). Both dried and canned food have a very high nutritional value, and digestibility is also excellent. Organix belongs to the super-premium class, but in its characteristics it is very close to real holistic products. And in terms of price-quality ratio it surpasses most of its analogues. The composition is not entirely transparent, but there is nothing particularly scary in the food, it’s just that the percentage of some components is not indicated. But he is glad that dehydrated meat comes first (minimum 20%), and the need for carbohydrates is met by rice (minimum 14%). Additionally, the food is enriched with all sorts of nutrients, in particular it contains a lot of taurine. The relatively low price is explained by the fact that this class of food does not contain the highest amount of meat; however, Organix is balanced and contains everything necessary for a complete daily diet. Externally, the food looks normal, it has a light meaty smell. With constant feeding, the dog feels great, stool and coat are normal. It is most profitable to buy a bag weighing 18 kg; for a medium-sized dog this is enough for almost 3 months.

Organix Dog Food Review

Organix dog food is made in Holland. Since it contains no artificial preservatives, flavor enhancers or dyes, and also contains real meat, Organix can undoubtedly be classified as a super premium food. In terms of price/quality ratio, the products of this brand are significantly superior to many vaunted foods, but more on that below.

Reviews of other good foods:

Organix food composition

Let's look at the composition of Organix food using the Adult Dog Lamb (lamb) option as an example. In first place is dehydrated lamb meat; the English composition states that its percentage is no less than 20%. The second ingredient is whole rice, its 14% (also indicated in the original description of the composition). Next - processed barley kernels, fish meal, beet pulp. Their percentage is no longer indicated. It is also worth noting that in other food options (for example, with chicken), the percentages of the first ingredients are not indicated at all (including chicken meat).

Among the premium class, 20% meat is quite a low figure, even if you take into account a couple more percent of fishmeal. However, the price of Organix food is quite low; even the well-known Royal Canin with a worse composition is more expensive. In general, the composition of the food under review is quite decent - it contains all the vitamins, minerals and other trace elements necessary for the dog’s body.

Pros and cons of Organics food

The benefits of the food include:

  • the presence of real meat in the composition;
  • absence of artificial flavoring additives and preservatives;
  • low cost (compared to analogues);
  • vitamins, minerals and other benefits;
  • In addition to dry food, there is also canned food.

Among the disadvantages of feed:

  • not very common (but you can always buy it online);
  • in some versions the percentage of meat is not indicated, which means it is not high there.

Assortment and features

Under the Organix brand, 5 lines of food are produced, each of which has its own original recipe. Most varieties contain up to 20% animal fat. In addition, the product contains coarse fiber and yeast, which are necessary for the full growth and development of the body. Most lines contain lecithin, which has a beneficial effect on the condition of the liver.

The product is rich in glucosamine and chondroitin, which are responsible for the integrity of cartilage tissue. Thanks to such components, your pet’s joints maintain integrity and mobility.

Organix dog food - reviews

Review of Organix dog food, writes Dana. Hi all. Today I will share a review of the main food that my dogs have been eating for more than a year. Organix tastes quite bland (I tried it out of curiosity), but the smell is light and really smells like lamb. The quality of the food is good, but once I came across a bag that tasted a little like fish instead of lamb (it contains fish), and one of the dogs then developed a slight allergy (their ears turned red).

The incident was isolated and has not yet been repeated, maybe there was some kind of defective batch. In appearance, the food is very similar to Nero Gold, which we tried earlier (I read that they are produced at the same factory). My dogs are large, so I also buy large 18 kg bags. With six, an exit and everything else, it’s normal. The overall impressions of the food are positive, especially the price.

Olga writes about Organix dog food We first got Organix canned food, the dog really liked it, and then we got dry food. We decided to try it instead of Eukanuba, it eats with pleasure, we switched completely. First of all, because of the very attractive price - a huge 18 kilogram bag costs only three thousand. As long as we haven't noticed any downsides, everything is fine! For those looking for normal, inexpensive food, we recommend Organix.

Review of Organix dog food, writes Yaroslava. My dog has been eating Organix canned food since they first appeared in PetShop. At first I bought it in plastic jars, now I buy it more often in metal ones. Both of them smell very nice, the dog immediately wags his tail as soon as he sees the jar in his hands))

Conclusions about Organics dog food

Reviews about Organix dog food are very positive, and buyers are especially pleased with the price. The price is really low - many premium products with by-products instead of meat cost the same. If you can’t afford to buy any Go Natural, but also don’t want to poison your pets with economis like “Darling” or “Oscar”, then be sure to take a closer look at Organix brand food.

Organix Dog Food Review

Dry dog food Organix (“Organix”) is produced in the Netherlands, and canned food is produced in Russia, commissioned by Pet-Product LLC. The official website is https://petsproduct.ru/, but there is no useful information there (about ingredients, recommended feeding rates), only a price list for wholesale purchases. Judging by the composition, this food belongs to the premium class.

Organix cat food is also available. There is also a product from Castor & Pollux Natural Petworks under the same brand, but this is a completely different food sold in the USA.

Organix food composition

Let's look at the composition of Organix food using the Adult Dog Chicken option as an example (for adult dogs, with chicken). You can see it in the photo below (click on the image to enlarge it for easier reading):

Photo of the composition indicated on the packaging of Organix food.

The first ingredient is chicken meal (this is how chicken mael is translated, not “dehydrated chicken meat”), a source of protein. Next in composition there is also fish meal (fourth place) and hydrolyzed chicken liver, which are also rich in protein. Although hydrolyzed liver is more of a natural flavoring.

Maize (that is, corn) and rice are sources of carbohydrates. Beet pulp and carob are sources of fiber. Chicken fat is a source of fatty acids. Flax seeds are rich in unsaturated fatty acids and fiber. Vitamins and Minerals is a dietary supplement of vitamins and minerals.

Brewer's yeast is rich in B vitamins. Lecithin is a useful substance that protects liver cells and performs other important functions.

Advantages and disadvantages

The advantages of this food include:

  • the main source of protein is meat ingredients and fish;
  • good vitamin and mineral supplement;
  • In addition to dry food, there is canned food;
  • relatively low price.

Disadvantages of Organix food:

  • many variants make extensive use of corn;
  • the preservatives used are not indicated;
  • canned food is produced in Russia (often local production is of worse quality than European);
  • not very common, sold in few pet stores.

The presence of corn and an unspecified preservative no longer allow this food to be classified as a super-premium class, as it is often positioned.

What is Organix food?

Organix food is positioned on the market as one of the highest quality products, which is produced separately for cats and dogs. The composition contains only natural ingredients, which allows you to maintain the health of your pet for many years. Veterinarians and felinologists participated in the development of the product. The basis is German technology, which has passed a number of tests and is considered one of the safest.

Organics food is a natural product intended for pets

Initially, they did not inflate the price of the product, making it accessible to almost everyone. Despite this, the quality of the feed was not affected.

Manufacturer

The food is produced by the Russian company, which is located in St. Petersburg. The company is the largest manufacturer and supplier of pet products.

What class does the product belong to?

"Organix" belongs to super premium class products. The food can be used both as a main source of nutrition and as an additional one. Manufacturers claim that the composition is completely balanced and no additional source of vitamins is required.

Advantages

Main advantages:

  • affordable cost (an order of magnitude lower than competitors);
  • easy to purchase, available in almost every pet store;
  • composition safety;
  • enriched with vitamins and minerals necessary for the full functioning of the pet’s immune system;
  • in addition to the dry product, canned food and soufflé are also produced;
  • low jelly content in soft food;
  • high quality meat;
  • After opening canned food, they can be stored in the refrigerator for several more days;
  • dry food can be mixed with wet food if necessary, since the taste palette is very similar;
  • a large number of nutritional components that allow the cat to eat less than usual;
  • contains taurine, which improves the condition of the visual organs and supports the normal functioning of the heart muscle;
  • The composition includes Yucca Schidigera extract, which helps cleanse the body of toxins and has an anti-inflammatory effect.

The vitamins and minerals contained in the food help keep your cat healthy and active.

Thanks to Organix, the consistency of animal stool returns to normal. In cats, gastrointestinal problems disappear and diarrhea and constipation occur less frequently.

Flaws

Cons of food:

  • presence of by-products;
  • a large amount of vegetable protein (normally there should be more animal protein);
  • presence of salt;
  • not a very pleasant smell;
  • the presence of antioxidants is not specified;
  • inconvenient packaging.

The presence of salt in the composition negatively affects the functioning of the kidneys

A minor drawback is that canned food has a very impractical ring on the lid, which often breaks during use.

Organix dog food - reviews

Organics dry and wet food has been sold in Russia for several years now, but has not gained much popularity. Therefore, there are few reviews about them; below we have collected some of the newest and most informative ones.

Reviews from veterinarians
