After castrating the cat, I decided that it would be more correct to choose specialized food for such cats. I was looking for a mid-price segment, and Ontario turned out to be acceptable. At first, the cat was not particularly willing to switch to it, because before that they were fed dry Whiskas, and it was probably full of flavorings that cats were drawn to. But then I started eating normally. The food is twice as expensive as Whiskas, but has great nutritional value, so a smaller volume is enough to keep the animal satisfied. You also need to remember that you should not deviate from feeding norms: neutered cats tend to gain weight. The food is imported, Canadian, as can be seen even from the name. This is already an advantage, because a lot of food products for animals are made here, but they do not differ in quality. So Ontario is not only relatively inexpensive, but also manufactured according to foreign standards, and not to any specifications like ours. There are no complaints about the composition, it cannot be compared with cheap food, there is more meat. But it is far from the level of premium feed, because it is not pure meat, but mainly by-products. But in general, more than 30% of the protein is aged, so the food is healthy. I also like that it contains fiber, which improves intestinal permeability. Various additives normalize the functioning of the genitourinary system, diseases to which neutered cats are often susceptible. My cat has been on this dry food for about a year now, but he still hasn’t had urinary stones.

For everyday feeding

The Gourmet food line includes Gourmet Gold, Perle, Mon Petit, A la Carte. It is produced only for healthy adult cats.

But Gourmet has enough flavors and varied textures. To please any gourmet, the company produces food in the form of pate, pieces of meat or fish, and pate with filling. Each collection has its own name:
