As with most Asian-made foods, Landor is based on tuna or chicken . Both tuna and chicken breast are excellent dietary sources of animal protein and beneficial amino acids. To our surprise, in Landor the broth always takes the last place in the composition, even if the percentage of its content is much higher than the amount of the auxiliary component (for example, 40% broth to 10% shrimp). Why the manufacturer violated the order of the ingredients is unclear; he probably wanted to distract the buyer from the fact that the broth takes up an impressive portion of a rather expensive 70-gram jar.

The main thing is that the manufacturer did not indicate what exactly this broth was made from. Is it made from poultry, fish, meat or vegetables? The unknown origin of the broth does not allow us to rate this ingredient highly.

The guaranteed analysis shows a high level of protein with a very low fat content, which is fully consistent with additional canned food. The percentage of calcium and phosphorus content is unknown.

This line includes 6 options, including food for adult cats, sterilized cats, seniors and kittens. The volume of the jar is 200 g. This food is produced at the German plant Landguth Heimtiernahrung GmbH, which produces food of such Russian brands as Berkley, Dukes Farm, Grandin, etc.

So, the first components are represented by meat ingredients:

• turkey - we are talking about whole carcasses and their parts. Turkey is a good dietary product, rich in animal, highly digestible protein, vitamins and microelements. By the way, turkey is much less likely to cause an allergic reaction, unlike chicken;
• partridge is an unexpected and very rare ingredient. This small bird belongs to the pheasant family and has very valuable, healthy dietary meat, enriched with a lot of vitamins and microelements;
• veal - muscle tissue (with remnants of cartilage, veins, etc.) of young bulls. Veal has less fat, and it differs from beef in higher taste.

They are kept company (in smaller numbers):

• herring is a valuable ocean fish, one of the fattest fish. Rich in Omega-3 fatty acids, as well as docosahexaenoic and eicosapentaenoic acids;
• duck - unlike the “duck meat” component found in one of Landor’s additional foods, this ingredient includes not only soft tissue, but also bones, cartilage, skin, and some internal organs;
• rabbit - the dietary meat of this rodent is very suitable for cats, since its composition is as close as possible to the natural prey of cats in nature. Rabbit meat protein is extremely highly digestible and low in fat.

Landor complete food also includes:

• broth - the situation with broth in Landor complete feeds is the same as in the case of additional feeds: the manufacturer kept silent about what raw materials the broth was made from, so, unfortunately, we cannot consider this component to be of high quality;
• flaxseed oil is a valuable plant source of Omega 3 and 6 polyunsaturated fatty acids. However, it is unknown how well the body of carnivorous cats assimilates this product, because vegetable oils are non-physiological for carnivorous animals;
• Taurine is an important amino acid found exclusively in animal products. Unlike people and dogs, cats cannot synthesize it on their own and receive it only from food. Lack of taurine is manifested by the occurrence of partial or complete blindness in cats, impaired reproductive function, and severe heart failure. During heat treatment during the manufacture of canned food, part of the taurine is destroyed, so it is added to the final product in a synthesized form;
• Safflower oil is a rare vegetable oil for commercial feed, although it was known back in the days of Ancient Egypt. This oil is extracted from a plant called safflower or wild saffron/dye thistle. Saturated with linoleic acid, however, it is less digestible by carnivorous cats than animal fats;
• minerals - a mineral premix, the exact composition is unknown, but is partially disclosed in the “vitamins and minerals” section on the package.

As for the guaranteed analysis, the protein level in these products is slightly lower than in supplementary feeds. But the level of fat is much higher, which corresponds to a complete diet for cats. The calcium and phosphorus content is not indicated on the official website.
