Not long ago, American and British dog handlers developed a new, so-called blue and isabella color for dogs of this breed. But the Fédération Cynologique Internationale (FCI), which approves breed standards, does not recognize this lightened color in Dobermans. And for this, the FCI has quite reasonable explanations: light and white Dobermans have poor health and have a number of problems at the genetic level. They suffer from photophobia, which negatively affects the watchdog and working qualities of dogs of this breed, and their further breeding is considered inappropriate.
